Mike Jahn describes himself this way: "I'm a writer. I like moving words around. I play the keyboard."
The son of a newspaper reporter and editorial writer, Mike began his daily newspaper career at The New York Times, where he was hired in 1968 to initiate their coverage of rock, making him the first full-time rock journalist for major media. He later switched to writing fiction and as of this year published 50 books, one of which won the prestigious Edgar Award.
This year he resumed his old career as an observer and reporter on the cultural, social and political scenes, this time as blogger. He also is assembling the yarns he's picked up in the course of 40 years on the scene — and continues to pick up — and "may do something with them."
He lives in New York.
